Pocketpedia App Reviews

Not bad but lacking

On the plus side, I’m happy to be able to sync with Bookpedia so I have my book list on the go to avoid buying duplicates. On the minus side, there are some areas where the app needs work: 1. Syncing is manual rather than automatic and continuous like Apple’s apps with iCloud. 2. The menu for delete, edit, etc. is under an icon like Apple’s share icon, which is confusing. 3. There is no way to search within my own library.

This is awesome

I have tried many of these apps and most of them are more bother than they are worth. This app completely puts the others to shame

Lousy database for opera and classical music

This app has great features if you only have very recent music. Not worth the money if you have to manually input all of the information because the database is so incomplete.

Too many clicks!

Nice app and a great companion to the Mac version but too many button touches are needed to add a book with the camera. I takes three touches on completely different areas of the screen to scan a bar code. Only one button should be required. And I agree with other reviews that it needs iCloud syncing. But otherwise I like it.

LIBRARY STOPPED SYNCING WITH MAC COLLECTION

Used to enjoy reviewing my collection from iPad, but now it is out of date with my iMac database. It pretends to sync, but no changes occur. Fix it please!

Useful app but the search feature is lacking

This is a good app that helps keep track of your music collection. Also, you can search whether you have a particular song in your CD collection; however, the search function is very basic compared to the desktop (Mac) version. Specifically, you can only search by the song title only; in fact, it has to be worded EXACTLY, meaning, you must include ALL words in the song title, and in the correct order. On the desktop (Mac) version, you can search using just keywords, in any order, and most importantly, you can search using a combination of words in the song title AND artist, which comes in handy when, say, you want to know how many times an artists song appears across your CD collection. Lastly, if you simply want to search how many times an artist (no particular song) appears in your collection the app only displays CDs solely by that artist only, but not any compilations that may have that particular artist on it, whereas, the desktop (Mac) version does this effortlessly. Until the search feature matches the desktop version (if ever) Ill keep the rating at its present state.

Lost artwork after update; still needs a real sync function

A very nice companion application for a beautiful desktop program. Definitely the best library software available. Still really needs integration with iCloud, and it is frustrating to lose all artwork after updating. Pretty much my only issues with it. Otherwise its a really nice app.

Awful

The database for scanning barcodes seems extremely limited. Less then 20% of my collection was found.
